You Need To Decide To Keep Learning Online!

Are You Decisive? If you're not, it going to be a long, disappointing road. I have been online pursuing opportunities now for some time now.

And you know what? I've made a lot of decisions along the way.

Some of those decisions were the right ones, but many were also the wrong ones.

The decisions we make define us.

There are a lot of opportunities out there that will promise you riches beyond your wildest imaginations.

That's great! Except it's not that simple.

I don't care what it is, it will take hard work, commitment and Decisions...

As an example, let's say you decide your opportunity is to set up a website to sell golden widgets.

How would you approach this. Would you just set up a site and boom the checks will start rolling in!?

No. First you have decide how the website is going to be set up. Are you going to build it yourself?

If so, what's best for your website? Do you want it set it up in PHP or do you want to use CSS?

What editor will you use? Front Page? Or are you going to decide to hire someone to build it for you?

How will you lay it out? Do you have a logo? Do you need one? What color scheme are you going to use?

Do you know the effect of color on your visitors? How do you decide?

What eCommerce solution is best for you? Consider your monthly volume.

If it is going to be over $1,000, a merchant account is usually a good choice.

You may consider Paypal in conjunction with a merchant account, it just got better by making it open to over 5 new countries Nigeria being one of them as this country has a lot of prospects, despite the challenges it's facing.

If you do consider a merchant account, you also need to look into electronic payment gateways.

Then you have to market the products... Are you going to use pop-ups?

Are you going to advertise with Adwords, Banners, E-zines...

What's my Point!? You are going to have to make the right decisions for your business.

There are a lot of steps from getting an idea to building the proper platform for the idea and executing it. Your decisions will ultimately lead to an end result.

Did it work? Are you making money?... or is it a do over?

When you decide to pursue an opportunity, that is the decision that will trigger the rest of them.

You must learn to decide. Indecision will find you broke and discouraged..

There is a lot of potentials online.

The best way to insure your success is to make sure you create multiple streams of income.

Doing a combination of things can really help.

Having a newsletter will allow you to capture visitors and down the road convert them to a sale.

Not everyone buys on the first visit to your website.

Adsense is another good source of income.

You have to have some good traffic to make a lot of money, but I was surprised when I started using it as a strategy throughout my websites.

Hey, even if its another 30, 40 or 50 dollars a month, it can pay some of your expenses.

Submitting to directories is a great way to get the Search Engines to take notice.

I do not recommend too much submissions to Search Engines anymore.

You can get crawled by the Search Engine Spider much quicker by getting some links coming into your website.

Search engine spiders follow links off of websites.

So if a link to your website is on another site that gets spidered regularly, you're all set!

Writing articles can get you a little traffic rolling as well.

And it's a great way to establish yourself as an expert in your field.

The inbound links also help with your position in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPS).

Everyone can make a living online. It's takes a lot of hard work sometimes.

Many people fail before they find good income, but it is possible for everyone.

Keep learning. I learn something new everyday. I hang out in forums, read articles, eBooks etc...

I'm continually soaking up information. You have to to keep up with your competition.

Just go out there and do it; I'll see you at the top!

Best wishes.

Content, Fresh Content ... All The Way

What if you wrote an article a day?  What if you added a few hundred words a day to your website? Could you do it?

Not everyone could. Your brain has to come up with this stuff... Here's an idea. What is your website or blog about? Is it about chickens?

Let's say it's about chickens... Sit down and write out a list of topics that you could talk about related to chickens or The farm.....Then ........Brainstorm away... Can't think of anything! Do a search: Google.com Still can't think of anything!

Remember that place you used to go to in school? Maybe you still do. That big building with all the books.... The Library! Go to your local library and collect all the books on chickens . Take those books and make a list of all the topics related to chickens or poultry.

Now there be a lot of chicken topics. You definitely should narrow it down to a niche topic or two. The more niched the better. You'll be able to target your audience better and the Search Engines will like you better if you're focused. Now, got your list..... Wait, wait... hey... Sorry, one of your class mates dozed off...

Where was I?
Oh, yea, your list. Now take that list and put that list in order of relevancy. Focus on the topics that are related to what your website is about? As time goes on you'll add to this list. When new products come onto the scene. When your subject's in the news... Maybe some of the topics will be broken into several sessions...

Then each day grab a topic off your list and write about it! What are you going to say? Don't worry about it. Just start typing. It'll come. You have to learn to let go. Relax. Let your mind do the typing.

If you need to, write out an outline first, but then just go. It may not be perfect. You may have to fine tune it after you're done, but you'll have done it! You acted. You'll get better as time goes on.

You don't have to do much. 300-400 words a day would be enough. Just enough for the search engines to find some new content. Pay some attention to a few keywords. Try to optimize a little for those. In other words, maybe repeat the main words or phrases of the topic a few times. If you're talking chicken feed, mention the phrase chicken feed a few times.

Then the search engines will know what your little article or content is about. You will probably only need to set aside a half hour a day once you get good at it. That doesn't include making sure the page URL matches your keywords, your meta tags match your keywords and things like that.

You see this post you are reading. When I started typing, I had No idea what I was going to type about!  Seriously,.....True story.

But it came write out of me. I wrote the Title... Content, Fresh Content, All the Way ... And I started typing. How long did it take me? I think about 10 minutes.... Wow am done for Today! Have a Productive Day !
