Three (3) Qualities Of A Good Manager

The manger of any team has three major roles to play, there are more, but the three listed below are specific:
1. Planner
A Manager has to take a long-term view; indeed, the higher you rise, the further you will have to look. While a team member will be working towards known and established goals, the manager must look further ahead so that these goals are selected wisely.
By thinking about the eventual consequences of different plans, the manager selects the optimal plan for the team and implements it. By taking account of the needs not only of the next project but the project after that, the manager ensures that work is not repeated nor problems tackled too late, and that the necessary resources are allocated and arranged.
2. Provider
The Manager has access to information and materials which the team needs.
Often he or she has the authority or influence to acquire things which no one else in the team could. This role for the manager is important simply because no one else can do the job; there is some authority which the manager holds uniquely within the team, and the manager must exercise this to help the team to work.
3. Protector
The team needs security from the vagaries of less enlightened managers. In any company, there are short-term excitements which can deflect the work-force from the important issues. The manager should be there to guard against these and to protect the team. If a new project emerges which is to be given to your team, you are responsible for costing it (especially in terms of time) so that your team is not given an impossible deadline. If someone in your team brings forward a good plan, you must ensure that it receives a fair hearing and that your team knows and understands the outcome. If someone is in your team has a problem at work, you have to deal with it. All The Best.

Can You Really Use Articles To Build Your List?

Getting customers in your site should always be ranked as high as the importance of the quality and the excellence of the product and the services you provide.

They should go hand in hand in providing your customers the satisfaction they get in exchange for the money they have paid for them.
Customer service should as well be as fantastic so that the customers are provided with the same satisfaction.
One of the ways you can combine marketing and customer service is through opt-in marketing.

With an opt-in list you get the opportunity to introduce your site and products on a good time basis.
Opt-in marketing strategy is a marketing strategy that is virtually low cost and not time consuming.

Here, you get the consent of your website visitors to subscribe to your newsletters and other promotional materials such as catalogs and free promotions.
Opt-in marketing uses your list of subscribers to send e-mail to. These e-mails will contain the materials you will send to your subscribers.

It is essential that you present your promotional items in a manner that will catch the interest and the eye of your subscribers to keep them wanting for more.

The best way to do this is to provide fun, entertaining and informational articles.
Well written articles full of content and useful information will help in building your list as more subscribers will be enticed your list.

When they have read the samples of your contents in your sites, they will be intrigued as to what will come next.

Subscribing to your newsletter will offer them a glimpse of what you have to offer next.

Many sites and companies have captured the importance of articles and this also aids in search engine optimization.

As more people are heading towards the internet for their information needs, serving the right information to them via articles in your site will increase the flow of your website traffic.

With more traffic, the percentage of your sales will grow. More sales turn into more profit.

There have been the rise for the importance of well written, information enriched and keyword packed articles for the content of their site as well as for newsletters.

These articles provide the information many are seeking in the internet.
If your site has them, more people will be going to your site for information and research.
Well written articles would also boost your sites reputation.

If they are filled with many information you will be regarded as well informed and an expert on the subjects that you tackle.

Your articles must be well researched so that the people will trust you.
When you have gained their trust, they will always come for you for their needs on that subject.

In connection, you must write articles or commission them to tackle subjects that are closely connected with your type of business.

If you have a site for a medicine tackling a certain disease, your articles must be about the diseases.
Or if you sell materials for home improvements provide articles with those themes.

Most articles searched for are tips, guidelines, methods, manuals and such.
If you provide these articles to your customers and you have their trust, they will always go to your site for help and advice as well as for your products.

With the loyalty of these customers, they may subscribe to your opt-in list to receive all the information you have.

If you provide them with the answers for that need, they will be happy to be receiving your newsletters as well as other promotional materials to keep them well informed.

Others may even forward your newsletters to other people when they find a certain article interesting.
You should provide links in your newsletter so that when other people are reading it and wants to read more, they may click on the link and go to your site.

With the articles you have in your site that are good, they may decide to sign up as well for your opt-in list.
This will build your list and make it bigger. Make sure to keep your subscribers happy and interested in your newsletters and promotional materials.

Keep on posting and writing good articles for your site and newsletter. If you are not interested in writing them or if you just don’t have the time, there are many available well experienced and knowledgeable writers available to help you out.

This is an investment that will pay for itself in time. Have A Great Day.

A General Approach To Learning Management Skills

In management there is always a distant tune playing in the background. Once you hear this tune, you will start humming it to yourself: in the shower, in the boardroom, on the way to work, when watching the sunrise. It is a simple tune which repeats again and again in every aspect of your managerial life; if goes:
PLAN - MONITOR - REVIEW
Before you start any activity you must STOP and THINK about it: what is the objective, how can it be achieved, what are the alternatives, who needs to be involved, what will it cost, is it worth doing? When you have a plan you should STOP and THINK about how to ensure that your plan is working.

You must find ways of monitoring your progress, even if it is just setting deadlines for intermediate stages, or counting customer replies, or tracking the number of soggy biscuits which have to be thrown away, whatever: choose something which displays progress and establish a procedure to ensure that happens.

But before you start, set a date on which you will STOP again and Re-THINK your plan in the light of the evidence gathered from the monitoring. Whenever you have something to do, consider not only the task but first the method.

Thus if there is a meeting to decide the marketing slogan for the new product you should initially ignore anything to do with marketing slogans and decide:
1) how should the meeting be held,
2) who can usefully contribute,
 3) how will ideas be best generated,
4) what criteria are involved in the decision,
 5) is there a better way of achieving the same end,
 6) If you resolve these points first, all will be achieved far more smoothly.

Many of these decisions do not have a single "right" answer, the point is that they need to have "an" answer so that the task is accomplished efficiently. It is the posing of the questions in the first place which will mark you out as a really great manager - the solutions are available to you through common sense. Once the questions are posed, you can be creative.

For instance, "is there a better way of producing a new slogan?" could be answered by a quick internal competition within the company (answers on a postcard by tomorrow at noon) asking everybody in the company to contribute an idea first.

This takes three minutes and a secretary to organize, it provides a quick buzz of excitement throughout the whole company, it refocuses everyone's mind on the new product and so celebrates its success, all staff feel some ownership of the project, and you start the meeting with several ideas either from which to select a winner or to use as triggers for further brainstorming.

Thus with a simple -- pause -- from the helter skelter of getting the next job done, and a moment's reflection, you can expedite the task and build team spirit throughout the entire company.
It is worth stressing the relative importance of the REVIEW.

In an ideal world where managers are wise, information is unambiguous and always available, and the changes in life are never abrupt or large; it would be possible for you to sit down and to plan the strategy for your group.

Unfortunately, managers are mortals, information is seldom complete and always inaccurate (or too much to assimilate), and the unexpected always arrives inconveniently.

The situation is never seen in black and white but merely in a fog of various shades of grey. Your planning thus represents no more than the best guess you can make in the current situation; the review is when you interpret the results to deduce the emerging, successful strategy (which might not be the one you had expected).

The review is not merely to fine-tune your plan, it is to evaluate the experiment and to incorporate the new, practical information which you have gathered into the creation of the next step forward; you should be prepared for radical changes.

LEADERSHIP
There is a basic problem with the style of leadership advocated in this article in that nearly every historic "Leader" one can name has had a completely different approach; Machiavelli did not advocate being a caring Protector as a means of becoming a great leader but rather that a Prince ought to be happy with "a reputation for being cruel in order to keep his subjects unified and loyal".

Your situation, however, is a little different. You do not have the power to execute, nor even to banish. The workforce is rapidly gaining in sophistication as the world grows more complex.

You cannot effectively control through fear, so you must try another route. You could possibly gain compliance and rule your team through edict; but you would lose their input and experience, and gain only the burdens of greater decision making.

You do not have the right environment to be a despot; you gain advantage by being a team leader. A common mistake about the image of a manager is that they must be loud, flamboyant, and a great drinker or golfer or racket player or a great something social to draw people to them. This is wrong. In any company, if you look hard enough, you will find quiet modest people who manager teams with great personal success.

If you are quiet and modest, fear not; all you need is to talk clearly to the people who matter (your team) and they will hear you. The great managers are the ones who challenge the existing complacency and who are prepared to lead their teams forward towards a personal vision.

They are the ones who recognize problems, seize opportunities, and create their own future. Ultimately, they are the ones who stop to think where they want to go and then have the shameless audacity to set out. Have a wonderful day.

The Benefits Of RSS Feeds, RSS Aggregator And Reader Tools

RSS Meaning Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary is the latest information management tool that is gradually earning popularity among web users and website owners.
With RSS technology, it is possible to get the latest postings from your favorite websites.

But clicking on the RSS or XML button in a homepage is not enough to give you the service you need.
An RSS feed or code displayed in the pop-up screen if not on the main page is composed of symbols and words that would only make sense to advanced RSS users and computer programmers and software enthusiasts.
Another software tool called an RSS aggregator or reader is needed.
An aggregator works by scanning the worldwide web with latest postings based on the RSS code (containing the website’s URL) provided or added by the user.
When it finds a new posting, news, or update, it will publish the RSS feed on your home page containing the title of the posting, which also serves as a clickable link to the website source. This RSS feed may or may not contain the whole article, a summary, and photos, depending on what RSS aggregator you are using.
Aggregators come in two types: the downloadable program or desktop-type and the online or web-based type. The desktop aggregator usually charges a certain amount for its services; this would include regular updating in the form of upgrades or patches to the original version.
This type of RSS reader allows more customization of RSS feeds as well as page format or design over its on-line counterparts. But of course, price can be a drawback.
On-line or web-based aggregators are free of charge. All you need to do is register an account with them then you can start enjoying their services.
Depending on the “brand” of the aggregator, customization is more limited. Some even do not allow you to customize at all.
Product and service advertisers are realizing the potential of RSS aggregators in internet marketing.
In fact, several submit RSS codes to several popular web-based aggregators to reach the growing technophile and internet-based market.
My Yahoo has been instrumental in popularizing RSS technology to both users and website owners and advertisers.
At present, there are many aggregators to choose from and newer versions of the same aggregator are constantly developed by its programmers.

These developments are definitely something to look forward to by all internet aficionados.

New Education Loan Repayment Scheme In The US

In a sign that education is highly prioritized by the United States government, it has been offering for quite some time student loans for college and graduate students who need assistance.

The goal of the program is very obvious: to help students get on to earn degrees despite continuously rising costs.

It is a common knowledge to everyone that US students are quite independent. That is why they are left to make ends meet and finance their own endeavors.

Thousands of college and graduate students across the country are benefiting from the program. Many are earning their degrees with much financial hassle.

The catch is that those students are mandated and required to repay their student loans after they graduate.

This scheme is a welcome note to most students, who really are in dire need to pay for their education. But repaying loan amounts for a number of years (average about 10 years) could be a daunting task to most.

There is good news amid the current financial crisis and the pressured job market. The federal government’s Income Based Repayment program recently allowed that it would finally allow student borrowers to cap monthly loan repayments at just about 15% of total annual income.

This move is expected to particularly benefit new graduates who are faced with big loan repayments amid a tough employment market these days.

Graduates with lower income and with children would be required to pay much lower repayments monthly, or in specific cases, none at all.

This scheme would encompass federal loans, which account for around 66% of total student debts. Private loans made by students are not covered, though private lenders may always offer their own incentives.

This is obviously and logically a welcome note to all student borrowers. However, student borrowers who have already been on defaults would not enjoy the program.

It is estimated that about 60% of US students with bachelor’s degree have student loans. On the average, such students accumulate $23,000 in student borrowings.

For a typical 10-year loan repayment program, the amount would require them to pay about $260 monthly.

Medical students on the average have bigger student loans at about $106,000 each. This translates to higher monthly repayments after graduation.

Because of the new student loan repayment scheme, graduates who earn about $30,000 annually would only be required to pay just up to $172 monthly.

Those who earn up to $40,000 annually would pay $297 monthly. The scheme is set to help those borrowers feel some ease in repaying monthly student loan dues. It is a welcome note especially these days, when the economic crisis is still very much felt across the US.

Graduates who are employed by public service offices are entitled to more perks. For 25-year student loans, remaining loan balances would be written off. The scheme would lower repayments by up to 10 years.

The US education system has always been a role model for many countries. The country is really a nation valuing education at most.

The student loan programs are indeed proof that the government is bent on helping the youth solidify their potential for the future.

If only other countries could also offer the same program, many teenagers would earn degrees that would qualify them to better jobs and of course, better sources of income.

Education Roundtable To Set New Benchmarks For Global Learning

The International Education Roundtable is set to deliberate on issues that are pertinent to major learning systems globally.

The international body, which consists of representatives from countries like the US, Canada, Australia, China, Singapore, and Hong Kong, is aiming to make education curriculums prepare students to be well educated global citizens of the future.

The body also recommends recruiting and hiring the best teachers and effectively grooming school leaders. Moreover, the group is also setting measures to gauge and improve impact of information and communication technology on education.

Each year, it is a common knowledge that almost all governments spend billions on improvements and reforms on education. In most cases, such budgets take care of school building construction and renovations.

Are these measures enough to ensure a good and high-quality level of education? Why are some schools performing much better than the others? Is there a way to address education problems of today?

The International Education Roundtable brings about greater attention to results of current international benchmark tests and reports.

The group has been responsible for bringing issues about education reform to international platforms from domestic agenda. Thus, the roundtable is presenting a good and viable opportunity for global education ministers to come and merge efforts in discussing topics that are top priorities on everyone’s agenda.

There is a need for different education ministers from all over the world to meet so there would be an effective exchange of ideas.

Ministers could also raise their own education experiences in their countries, so that they could eventually learn from each other.

As the cliché goes, people should learn from the mistakes and lessons experienced by others. In this way, innovations could be successfully scaled across a system. They could be adapted and used by others.

The body also aims to identify several other issues and challenges that school systems worldwide are currently facing amid the current economic situation.

Most participants to the round table meeting indicate that they think education is presently remaining as among the most important investments for the future. Such ministers also commit to continuously seek major improvements for their own school systems. These are despite the current economic downturn.

When it comes to education, there are just too many pressing issues. It seems that education is a very challenging subject.

Most global governments are experiencing difficulties in meeting up and addressing education challenges. It is estimated that about half of total global population of children are still not going to formal schools.

What are governments to do with such a problem? Surely, such a concern should be addressed by governments not singly but as a collective entity.

The global round table for education aims to formally find solutions to pressing education issues. It aims to improve and bolster the current state of education not just in developed nations but also throughout the world.

There is a need to monitor how institutions and schools perform. For one, coming up with lists of top schools could inspire education institutions to do better.

Second, more obscure schools could look up to role models. Third, major setbacks and problems could be instantly identified and addressed in a collective manner.

The world should unite when it comes to distracting issues that hound education. People should hope collective efforts like round table meetings would not falter.

How To Get Started With Information Products

The first step to creating your own information product is to figure out what people want to know about your niche.

Think back to when you first started your business, what questions did you have?

Let’s say that you own a business selling floral arrangements created from silk flowers,
here are a few questions that people may want answers to:

• How do I make my own arrangements?

• Where is the best place to buy the items needed to make them?

• How do I preserve them to last over the years?

• How should they be cleaned?

• How can I start a floral arrangement business?

All these questions can be answered in one information product like an e-book, but they
can also be split up into a few different ones.

You can write an e-book using your business knowledge that will teach other people
how to start their own floral arrangement business.

You can tell them everything they need to know about how to get started, and even provide them with a bonus resource sheet on where they can buy the best items for the best prices. You can find a free guide
here.

Write a step-by-step e-course and split it up into different lessons that teach people how to make their own silk floral arrangements. Once you have the course written, the rest is automated.

Your visitor can sign up, pay for the course, and your autoresponder will automatically send them the lessons based on the schedule you have set up.

Promote through freebies. If you want to answer the questions about preservation and cleaning, then write up a tip sheet or small report and give it away to people who sign up for your newsletter. A 5 day e-course is another way to do this, and you will benefit in more than one way.

First, you’ve captured your visitor and placed them on your mailing list and will be able to promote your business to them, but you’re also promoting your information product within the tip sheet, e-course, or small report that
they are reading.

Tips To Note When Choosing A Movie Download Site

The Internet is swamped by numerous Websites today that are offering tons of videos. Yes, watching videos is now made possible because the speed and power of the online media continues to rise.

Have you heard about downloading and watching movies online? Many users are now using the Internet because of the countless movie download sites.

Are you confused because there are just too many movie download sites today? Have you tried some of them and end up being just disappointed and frustrated?

You should be very discerning and careful when choosing a movie download site, most especially if you are paying for required memberships and subscriptions.

Here are several guidelines that could help you do so.

Choose a movie download site that is offering unlimited downloads. Many Websites are offering membership options for numerous or unlimited downloads.

Doing so would be very beneficial in the long run especially if you are addicted to downloading and viewing movies through the Internet.

However, take note that most of movie download sites that offer unlimited downloads are charging much more compared to those that are charging on limited downloads.

Many Internet users are misled by the price difference between sites that offer limited and unlimited movie downloads.

First of all, sites that offer limited downloads for a certain period would naturally charge less compared to those that are offering unlimited downloads. If you are not into downloading and watching movies across the Internet, the limited option would be right for you.

If you intend to watch one or just a handful of titles, you are better off in such memberships. However, if you are into regularly watching movie downloads the unlimited option would be the best. It would cost you much more if you download movies beyond the limits in limited memberships.

Make sure the movie download site you chose is offering a wide array of movie titles. It is always best to enjoy the widest selections of titles, and even games, music, and television shows.

It would be appropriate if you would first check on a site’s portfolio or list of movies before you finally decide to secure a membership.

You should be sure that you would not be stuck in a membership that you would not actually enjoy. You have all the right to do the necessary checking.

The best movie download sites are those with the biggest portfolio of titles and those that are at the same time committed to expanding their range.

Lastly, take note of the video or movie quality. The best are those sites that offer DVD-quality movies.

However, be careful because most membership Websites know this. Thus, they promise DVD-quality movies.

It is only after you finalized membership that you would realize that such sites are only offering substandard quality of movies. It is just frustrating to wait long hours downloading a movie file and then getting disappointed with the video quality.

There is nothing better than staying at home and watching your favorite movies. If you are a home buddy and you value company of your family, patronizing movie download sites’ services would be best for you.

There is no more need to spend too much for buying and renting DVDs or getting to movie houses to watch a movie.

Getting Education Versus Getting A Degree

Many college students often lament that they just need to accumulate sufficient college credits so they could earn a degree and simply move on.

This ‘just-get-by’ attitude is very discouraging and disappointing, especially to educators who want to give students useful education rather than a degree.

You should be wondering by now, is there a difference between getting education and getting a degree?

To begin with, college degree is just a representation. It is a certification attesting that an individual has actually studied in a variety of useful fields.

It also indicates that the individual has achieved a target level of subject mastery.

In contrast, education is everything any degree is representing. It should be regarded as the more important between the two.

That is because it is education that would help individuals get on with the real-life challenges in the workplace. It is education that would make anyone rise from above the rest.

Traditionally, students are usually told that earning a college degree is the real key to success. When success is tackled, it could mean financial and personal.

There are already many studies that show how individuals with college education are able to win the workplace.

They are usually the ones earning substantially higher salaries throughout their lifetime compared to those who are without degrees.

Information like these makes anyone infer that college degree is simply leading to a difference. Thus, many students believe that to be able to achieve success, college degrees are essential.

If you want to make a difference, you should get into the realization that it is college education that truly makes the difference, not the degree. Is there a difference between the two other than the above mentioned?

There is. It is possible that an individual attain a college degree without real education. It is also possible that an individual get real education without earning a degree. Are you confused?

Many college students just aim to pass subjects and get on to earning the sought-after degree.

They do not pay much attention to learning and much of the lessons they take in class are not retained. However, they could still pass exams and earn good grades at projects. In the end, they could still manage to graduate from college without much seriousness.

On the other hand, a student may take college courses seriously that they are practically adapting and using the lessons learned to daily life situations.

They could have learned lessons through the heart.

Thus, retention is not a problem. However, due to unlikely and inevitable circumstances, they could not be able to finish college and earn a degree (usually due to financial constraints).

So which is better, attaining a degree or attaining education? Initially, everyone would say it is both. But a closer and deeper take on the issue would lead you to a single possible answer: it is the education.

However, the world and the workplace are yet to learn from this realization.

Nowadays, degrees are still regarded as synonymous to education. People have yet to see companies and prospective employers looking more closely into this argument.

For the meantime, individuals with both a degree and education are on the winning end. It is just very important that you open up to learn more while you are studying to earn a degree.

You could have both if you only would be more serious in finishing your college and learning basic professional skills.

Have a nice day.

Practice Outsourcing, Relieve The Pressure And Make More Money!

Outsourcing is the delegation of tasks or jobs from internal production to an external entity (such as a subcontractor).

Most recently, it has come to mean the elimination of native staff to staff overseas, where salaries are markedly lower.

This is despite the fact that the majority of outsourcing that occurs today still occurs within country boundaries, especially in North America.

It became a popular buzzword in business and management in the 1990s. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outsourcing

So it simply is taking something that is required by your business and instead of doing it yourself or in house, you pay another individual or company to do it for you.

The reason I wanted to get into this today is because I saw someone in a forum pretty upset.

She was trying so hard to put together a good sales page for her product and through here post it seemed she was pretty frustrated and depressed about it…

And there was good advice given and I wanted to echo that for any of you that might be in business and are struggling trying to do everything yourself.

In the beginning it might make economic sense I suppose. If your funds are short, you might have to try and do a lot yourself, but keep this in mind…

The most successful marketers and business people do well because they focus on the things THEY are good at. The rest they give to others to do for them.

Some people will actually just create products and have others create the sales pages, content, graphics and more for them.

In this person’s case above, she could go to a place like eLance and put the job up for people to bid on. She’d pay someone a few bucks and probably get a fantastic sales page.

If you are looking for a programmer, you might go to elance.com.
The investment can come back to you a 100 or 1000 fold. Find people that are good at other things that you are not or don’t have time for.

I’ve done it myself. I’m working on an on going project with an individual who I found through eLance. We are co-authoring an eBook together. The project itself is long term.

It involves a lot of research and time, but she brings to the table things I don’t. I bring to the table things & experience that she doesn’t.

We are a team.

So the next time YOU get frustrated or stressed because of time or inability to do something, think about it. Think about going out there and finding someone to help you with your project and business.

Also learn to pace yourself & not put to much pressure on yourself if something isn’t working out. It’s not worth losing your sanity or becoming depressed over something like your business.

ALL of us struggle with something; every business struggles… We are not all good at everything… Even the most successful of us have times of difficulty.

Just focus on your strengths and your goal. Work at it. Don’t focus on the obstacle; focus on the result your effort will have.

Taking breaks will help as well. Take a walk. If something is REALLY driving you crazy, set it down for a few days and work on something else. When you come back to it, you’ll come back with fresh energy and will be more effective.

OR… simply ask for some help in your favorite forum!

Strength and growth come only through continuous effort and struggle. -Napoleon Hill

The Internet, A Never Ending Gold Rush

QUOTING MYSELF WITH A SELFIE.... :) I agree with everyone. I believe the "Gold Rush" will last until someone replaces the internet with a new medium... About 10,000 years from now....hehe... what do you think ?

I look at the internet as being a reflection of the off-line world. It is and will continue to be a dynamic environment. Everyday someone is inventing a new product or technology that will spin off 1000s of niches. And remember this, there is an effect that I see rarely (if ever) communicated.

Even if you're in a crowded market, people drop out of that market daily. Stick with it long term and you will float to the top. And I also think that the same crowded market can vanish from relevance when you come in with a far superior product or service. The longer you're in the game, the more you learn, the better you become... failure is not an option.

Enjoy the Ride, Read along! I'm very passionate about this. I think there is a lot of opportunity online. I just think a lot of people don't have the direction they need to capture it... And I wanted to add: The internet is not going to go away unless something better replaces it down the road which would probably only create more opportunity for us. I believe that the internet and off-line world will merge and create huge opportunities in the years to come

And remember, it's growth into the global sphere has barely gotten off the ground. There is a whole world out there that hasn't even jumped on board the World Wide Web! Hang in there... It's a number game! This is something I posted on the Warriors Forum after having a small, short drought.

I hadn't made a sale for a longer than average period. I finally made one this day and had to communicate how I felt to someone. It sort of developed into more than that. QUOTING MYSELF WITH A SELFIE AGAIN:

I just want to say, I love this internet stuff!! To all the newbies out there that are just getting started with their online businesses and haven’t seen the first sale yet or anyone that’s having a streak of bad luck... I just wanted to take the time to tell you to HANG IN THERE.

There is nothing better than being in business for yourself. I’ve been my own boss for years; I had a remodeling business a few years ago…

I’m so conditioned to working on my own that I think it would drive me crazy if I had to punch a clock again. Getting up without an alarm clock every day is so nice. It is so exciting when someone actually spends money on one of your products. You've worked so hard on your website or choosing the perfect affiliate programs that are going to offer the best products at the highest commission. It's great when you see that hard work pay off. My main product is affiliate programs and Adsense.

I’ve been doing PPC for a long time, but once in a while I fall into a rut like I have been the last week or two. It’s a little worry some, but I keep doing the things that I’ve always done.

I keep my eye on the ball and don’t let up. I stick to my routine. I work on my site, I write my articles, I fine tune my PPC campaigns and add new ones, I study SEO, I learn from e-Books and Forums about the online business, and just systematically work the plan... yes, I do have a plan. I’ve been a salesman for a long time. There is one thing I’ve learned from my sales experience that can be translated to online world:

Numbers. Numbers. It’s all about numbers. I can possibly sell life insurance. I work with a couple different brokerages and can literally quote 100s of companies for any one person in minutes. I use various lead systems to find prospects.

About 2 years ago I  got with a lead program to sell "Computer Hardware Products" This one company really had an incredible system that really drove home the importance of knowing your numbers...

Here were my numbers selling Hardware Products: If I got leads per week, made phone calls, I would set 5-7 appointments, and make 2-3 sales... Consistently. It’s a numbers game. It never failed. If I was making $2000 per month I could double that just by doubling the leads and the phone calls… of course it probably helps to be a good salesman also.

MY POINT: It’s the same way with online business. If you see X number of people, you will make X number of sales. This is why I don’t worry. I can predict when I am due. I know my numbers. (i.e., I’ve had 300 clicks without a sale, I normally get one sale every 200 clicks... ...

Maybe that's why I like PPC, it's a numbers game. I’m certainly not making 1 million dollars a year online (yet). But I know it’s just a matter of time. More traffic = More sales

If I consistently work my plan and stick to my routine I will realize success... actually a nice 6 figure income would be sufficient. And so can all of you! It may not happen overnight, but it will happen if you’re persistent.

I could write an eBook, but I just wanted to take a few minutes and communicate my experience... I’m off a fresh sell after a short drought and still have the residual adrenaline effects running through my body. So please forgive me. Stick with it everyone and I’ll see ya’ll at the top!!

Sometimes I get in the zone and write something profound... Have a wonderful day.

The Trouble With Managing Forums

The main trouble with forums is that the medium is imperfect, but what on earth is perfect anyways. Therefore we have to rely on one of our senses to interpret our communications with each other.
Our sense of sight.
You have people from all over the world. Different backgrounds, different educations, different values, different attitudes, and different personalities. The medium itself is expressionless. Expression and body language are big parts of communication. Many forums have used smileys as a means to express yourself better by giving the post a mood. There are many little notations you can add to express your mood or reactions. Unfortunately even those can be misinterpreted easily by different people. There is also the writing experience of the poster that is a factor. There are different levels of posters - beginner to advanced all mixed together. There are different styles of writing influenced by education or geography. Every forum has rules that can be slightly different from one to another. One will allow a little self promotion and another will prohibit it. Sometimes it's a fine line to follow.
A large issue is the fact that we often depend on the number of posts a person has to determine the validity of statements or intentions. Many posters with a few posts are in awe of those with thousands. If you have 3000 posts, you can say something about anything and have an impact whether it's based in truth or not...
The volume of posts alone cannot determine intelligence or the experience of the poster. One person can have 100 posts of pure brilliance. Each post composed of profound thoughts, well written comments, smart ideas, and relevant information. Another can have 4000 posts which are composed of nothing more than fluff. Most contributing little to the forum.
Someday I hope to see a universal method that stretches across all forums. Create a way to document a persons journey and experience in forums. Essentially a fingerprint that can be implanted in the posters profile. A stand alone database that can be accessed for information on this poster. That combined with some new innovations to help communicate... Is it a size factor. The larger the forum the easier to control.
I don't think so. It's the management of the forum. The Administrators or Moderators are in control. The trouble is some forums lack leadership. I've seen, on several occasions, forums destroyed or at least wounded, because of the lack of control. Then regular people in the forum will try to act as police and it will mushroom into a war. The Admin or Mods need to police the halls. They need to control the crowds.

It can happen fast. One second all is calm. The next, the forum is on fire. A Policing Presence is so important. Also there must be a clear system of conduct. Clear to anyone stepping foot through the doorway. There also has to be a clear discipline policy that is followed to a "T". It's not an easy task to keep things together. This is especially true for a newer forum. Unless you already have a team of people in place you can trust to control things, it's a crap shoot. So, know, if you are considering starting a forum for any reason, it's not as easy as just uploading it to your server and letting the visitors have at each other.

You have to have a game plan. It has to be well thought out. Try and recruit some people to help you out with it. This is if you have the traffic and expect a lot of signups. If the process is slowed it may be easier to control on your own and people will grow with the forum. But if you dump hundreds of people from all over the world in a short period of time... look out! And lastly, it does depend on the topic of the forum. If it's a forum about Scams, you will attract the scammers as well as the people trying to get help. If you create a forum for hungry entrepreneurs, expect some conflicts. If you have a forum about the Care of Rabbits, you'll probably be safe.

Certain topics will attract certain personalities. Just some thoughts about the subject I had on my mind. It's interesting. Forums have become a good way to create community. So I know a lot of people are already doing it or probably considering it. You just have to know that it will take some of your resources (i.e., time especially) to manage it. This isn't a thing that can just put up and forgotten about. Plan well before taking it up. Have a nice day.

How To Get Out Of The Information Loop

This is something I see being discussed and it's a Problem today for New and even some Experienced Internet Marketers.
It's regarding the moment you realize that you know enough.
A lot of people get into a trap or "loop" of buying ebooks  after ebooks and also purchasing courses after courses looking for some magic formula to success.
I honestly believe some of it stems from laziness. We think this online stuff or other Works should be easy.
So many search in vain for the easy formula or the easy way out, Yes, there are some available less complicated pathways, but don't get over worked as it can be disastrous !!!
Until that day many get to realize the formula is never that easy and we already know how to be a success online.
Some people have spent hundreds of dollars looking for the magic formula. But did they find it ?...
They didn't. Why? Because there isn't one that does not involve hard and smart work.
when one emerges it doesn't last long; the market becomes saturated with people running after the opportunity and overnight therefore that opportunity loses it's power.
That  is why I think it's so important to hang out in forums, read all the free stuff out there and then choose a path that is suited to YOU.
After you've decided what path is best, then maybe buy a few eBooks related to that path.
But commit to it and don't be distracted because you see everyone else running to the New Big Thing.
Everyone's going to be selling you something.
All of them will convince you it's the next best thing, but they are just SELLING something.
I'm not saying don't buy anything. I am saying focus on a specific area and get to work.
Don't get bogged down by purchasing every new thing that comes along... This will never stop.
There will always be new products to google over...
You need to know when to stop. It's a bit of an addiction, but admitting you have a problem is the first step:) So take a look at what you have.
Take a look at yourself and make a decision to start acting. Start putting your money into your business instead of info products. Start today! Wishing You Success.

You Need To Decide To Keep Learning Online!

Are You Decisive? If you're not, it going to be a long, disappointing road. I have been online pursuing opportunities now for some time now.

And you know what? I've made a lot of decisions along the way.

Some of those decisions were the right ones, but many were also the wrong ones.

The decisions we make define us.

There are a lot of opportunities out there that will promise you riches beyond your wildest imaginations.

That's great! Except it's not that simple.

I don't care what it is, it will take hard work, commitment and Decisions...

As an example, let's say you decide your opportunity is to set up a website to sell golden widgets.

How would you approach this. Would you just set up a site and boom the checks will start rolling in!?

No. First you have decide how the website is going to be set up. Are you going to build it yourself?

If so, what's best for your website? Do you want it set it up in PHP or do you want to use CSS?

What editor will you use? Front Page? Or are you going to decide to hire someone to build it for you?

How will you lay it out? Do you have a logo? Do you need one? What color scheme are you going to use?

Do you know the effect of color on your visitors? How do you decide?

What eCommerce solution is best for you? Consider your monthly volume.

If it is going to be over $1,000, a merchant account is usually a good choice.

You may consider Paypal in conjunction with a merchant account, it just got better by making it open to over 5 new countries Nigeria being one of them as this country has a lot of prospects, despite the challenges it's facing.

If you do consider a merchant account, you also need to look into electronic payment gateways.

Then you have to market the products... Are you going to use pop-ups?

Are you going to advertise with Adwords, Banners, E-zines...

What's my Point!? You are going to have to make the right decisions for your business.

There are a lot of steps from getting an idea to building the proper platform for the idea and executing it. Your decisions will ultimately lead to an end result.

Did it work? Are you making money?... or is it a do over?

When you decide to pursue an opportunity, that is the decision that will trigger the rest of them.

You must learn to decide. Indecision will find you broke and discouraged..

There is a lot of potentials online.

The best way to insure your success is to make sure you create multiple streams of income.

Doing a combination of things can really help.

Having a newsletter will allow you to capture visitors and down the road convert them to a sale.

Not everyone buys on the first visit to your website.

Adsense is another good source of income.

You have to have some good traffic to make a lot of money, but I was surprised when I started using it as a strategy throughout my websites.

Hey, even if its another 30, 40 or 50 dollars a month, it can pay some of your expenses.

Submitting to directories is a great way to get the Search Engines to take notice.

I do not recommend too much submissions to Search Engines anymore.

You can get crawled by the Search Engine Spider much quicker by getting some links coming into your website.

Search engine spiders follow links off of websites.

So if a link to your website is on another site that gets spidered regularly, you're all set!

Writing articles can get you a little traffic rolling as well.

And it's a great way to establish yourself as an expert in your field.

The inbound links also help with your position in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPS).

Everyone can make a living online. It's takes a lot of hard work sometimes.

Many people fail before they find good income, but it is possible for everyone.

Keep learning. I learn something new everyday. I hang out in forums, read articles, eBooks etc...

I'm continually soaking up information. You have to to keep up with your competition.

Just go out there and do it; I'll see you at the top!

Best wishes.

Content, Fresh Content ... All The Way

What if you wrote an article a day?  What if you added a few hundred words a day to your website? Could you do it?

Not everyone could. Your brain has to come up with this stuff... Here's an idea. What is your website or blog about? Is it about chickens?

Let's say it's about chickens... Sit down and write out a list of topics that you could talk about related to chickens or The farm.....Then ........Brainstorm away... Can't think of anything! Do a search: Google.com Still can't think of anything!

Remember that place you used to go to in school? Maybe you still do. That big building with all the books.... The Library! Go to your local library and collect all the books on chickens . Take those books and make a list of all the topics related to chickens or poultry.

Now there be a lot of chicken topics. You definitely should narrow it down to a niche topic or two. The more niched the better. You'll be able to target your audience better and the Search Engines will like you better if you're focused. Now, got your list..... Wait, wait... hey... Sorry, one of your class mates dozed off...

Where was I?
Oh, yea, your list. Now take that list and put that list in order of relevancy. Focus on the topics that are related to what your website is about? As time goes on you'll add to this list. When new products come onto the scene. When your subject's in the news... Maybe some of the topics will be broken into several sessions...

Then each day grab a topic off your list and write about it! What are you going to say? Don't worry about it. Just start typing. It'll come. You have to learn to let go. Relax. Let your mind do the typing.

If you need to, write out an outline first, but then just go. It may not be perfect. You may have to fine tune it after you're done, but you'll have done it! You acted. You'll get better as time goes on.

You don't have to do much. 300-400 words a day would be enough. Just enough for the search engines to find some new content. Pay some attention to a few keywords. Try to optimize a little for those. In other words, maybe repeat the main words or phrases of the topic a few times. If you're talking chicken feed, mention the phrase chicken feed a few times.

Then the search engines will know what your little article or content is about. You will probably only need to set aside a half hour a day once you get good at it. That doesn't include making sure the page URL matches your keywords, your meta tags match your keywords and things like that.

You see this post you are reading. When I started typing, I had No idea what I was going to type about!  Seriously,.....True story.

But it came write out of me. I wrote the Title... Content, Fresh Content, All the Way ... And I started typing. How long did it take me? I think about 10 minutes.... Wow am done for Today! Have a Productive Day !

How To Motivate Yourself Forever

Just as willpower is an essential factor in achieving success, at some point in time, discouragement and lack of motivation may hinder you from reaching your objective.
And it is up to you, and you alone to devise techniques that will help you keep that drive within afire. It is helpful to have visual goals. whatsoever that is you are working towards, make it visual.
It maybe something material like a car, or a vacation you have been looking forward to for the longest time. Take or cut out a picture of it and post it at a conspicuous place at work or at home where you can see it often. So that when you feel discouraged, this will remind you of your goal and will help you keep your spotlight. Make a contract with oneself. According to motivational researches, people who write down to-do-lists are far more triumphant in achieving their intended goals than those people who just keep mental lists instead. Putting something in writing somehow makes it more powerful psychologically speaking. This may also be the basis why most cultures have such a high regard in honoring contracts.
In the contract, you may also include a certain reward that you will give yourself once you have accomplished the task. After all, everyone likes to be rewarded for completing a good job.
Even a simple pat on the back, “good job”, or “thank you” may do the trick to give the person the additional push to carry on, but unfortunately, these may not always be readily available. Considering that these are also essential in keeping oneself motivated, you must learn to find a way to get that encouragement on your own through pleasing yourself.
Abusive people lower your self-esteem and bring you down. Get these negative people out of your life. Surround yourself with positive people.
Imitate their example. Smile amply and think happy thoughts. These will give you a brighter outlook and lets you see a clearer picture of what you really want and a fresh mind to know what steps to take to get there. Rather than wait for things to happen, try to be proactive and MAKE THINGS HAPPEN.
Inactivity idles the brain and stagnates your potential to reach your goals. Read inspirational books and literature. These will help you improve your attitude and heal your mind. A book of success stories also proves to be encouraging. You will not only learn from others' experiences and derive confidence boosting insights from them but the story will be instrumental in motivating you to go for your goal and move ahead with your plans.
If this still seems to falter, get training or education. Oftentimes, not knowing how or where to start is frustrating. Knowledge is power. Having a clear understanding of how and where to start is empowering and it will provide the extra drive needed to hit the mark you are aiming at and follow it through. Having enumerated all these tips and tricks to attain self-motivation, but still you seem to feel lacking that much needed drive, there is one last thing that you must try.
Whatever it is that you have been meaning to do, or wanting to achieve, JUST DO IT! Keep on aiming high and go for it! Actually getting your hands dirty best solves the problem of motivation. By “forcing” yourself to just do it, your momentum will pick up gradually as you go along and before you know it you have finished the task or have finally achieved your goal.
Divide and conquer is the key. Break down the apparently unattainable activity to small doable steps. Not only does it become less overwhelming, but seeing the "in the meantime" results will further your confidence that it can indeed be done. Lack of motivation happens to us all, but if you do not encourage yourself to accept opportunities and be challenged, no one else will. It is most important to keep your eye on the goal, find ways to keep going, and in no time, you shall reap its benefits.  And if at the beginning you were just doing it for the material reward, you will also learn to realize that the fulfillment, satisfaction and self-achievement you derive from reaching your goal is a much enjoyable high that will keep the drive within constantly burning. Enjoy Your Day.
