6 Easy Ways To Reduce Global Warming

You don't need an environmental advocate to tell you that the earth is shouting for help.

Just by looking at your surroundings, you'll realize that the earth is in great disarray and needs a bit of uplifting from its inhabitants.

Global warming is one of the earth's biggest problems right now.

If you think you can't help solve this problem, you're wrong.

With your little environment-conscious acts, you'll be able to lessen this problem.

Here are a few easy tips you can follow to participate in the fight against global warming.

1.    Make your place green.

Plant trees on your backyard or front lawn.

If you don't have enough space, join environmental organizations and take part in their tree planting activities.

Trees are important because they help absorb carbon dioxide. They also give off oxygen, which is very important in sustaining of health.

Trees are also natural air coolers. If your house is surrounded with trees, the air around you will be much cooler. You won't be needing air conditioners on hot days.

2.    Drive less often.

Conserve gas by driving less often. If you're not going too far, you can walk or use a bike. Walking and biking are good exercises for you.

You are not only helping the environment but you are also keeping yourself stay fit. Be friends with your neighbors, office mates and schoolmates.

Discover the beauty and practicality of car pooling. Have a schedule so each one of you gets the turn of driving the others on certain days of the week.

You are not only saving gas, you are also saving money and lessening your expenses.

3.    Don't use plastics.

Plastics are non-biodegradable. While some people recycle plastics, others just throw them away. Avoid using plastic.

It is not environment-friendly. If you're planning to go shopping, it's always a good idea to bring a big bag with you where you can put the things that you'll buy.

This way, you won't need to get the plastic from the store. Also, it's better to use reusable items like mugs, cups, plates, spoons and forks. Bring your own mug in the office so you don't have to use disposable cups and mugs.

4.    Save and recycle paper.

Paper is made out from trees. When you save and recycle paper, you are also saving trees. Learn how to recycle paper and recycle your used paper at home and in the office.

Don't discard a paper immediately. Make sure that you use both of its side before discarding it. Receipts, bills and newsletters can be recycled. Don't throw them in the trash bin immediately.

5.    Eat vegetables.

Manufacturing meats use more energy than planting vegetables. Vegetables are good for you.

You can start your own vegetable garden on your own backyard and you won't have to go to the grocery for veggies.

This mean less consumption of gas going to the store and avoidance of using plastic as containers for the things you bought.

6.    Use your hands.

Save on electricity by using your hands. You can easily wash your dirty dishes on the sink and with a scrubber.

You don't need to use the dishwasher all the time. Use grass scissors instead of a lawn mower if the area that you're going to clear is not that big.

Also, open your windows so fresh air can get in instead of using electric fans and air conditioners.
