The Social Media Grasp On Our Lives

Everyone everywhere is connected now-days by social media. Whether it’s Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, everyone knows them or has them. Groups like these have become huge factors in our lives, and are extremely contagious.

People want a quick, easy way to connect to each other, and social media gives them that.
You have the urge to add/follow/subscribe to everything that catches your eye, like a child in a sweet shop.

Even if you don’t want to, they are there and you can’t help but give in.

The name Social Media says it all. People want to be social, express themselves in every way they can, but on a large scale, so everyone can see what you want them to see.

Things like Twitter and YouTube can be the start of great things; a business, a charity, a career or just simply to be famous. Many people want to climb the social ladder, and have a spotlight on them, though not everything is so fine and dandy.

The world we live in is hard; trying to get anywhere is difficult. There are multiple dead ends and brick walls to break through, but have no fear!

Social Media groups like Facebook and Twitter create communities that help people get connected and stay connected.

So when your down and glum, there’s hundreds, even thousands of people who have the same view as you and are willing to help. The big guys love helping the little guys out.

That’s what Social Media can do for you, but what can you get out of it?

Well, when I say you stay connected, I truly mean it. Follow your favourite things; keep up to date on music, vloggers, bloggers, friends and family, celebs and so more! Fall in love with what the world has to offer.

Find those you know, and those you've forgotten. Rebuild bridges and create new ones.

Share your love for loved ones, whether it’s One Direction, Justin Beiber, or whoever floats your boat (or someone you genuinely love).

With Social Media, the World truly becomes your oyster in which to explore, find out things you never knew, and find people you never knew existed. Start a fashion trend or tell people something that generally concerns you.

The thing about Social Media is that it is literally everywhere at once: your phone, computer, playstaion, X-Box, iPod, iPhone iPad.

The list is endless, everything you need, whether it be new, email, a friend or a foe, a picture that needs multiple hashtags, it doesn’t matter, because everything is an arms length away.
My tips and Judgement:
Facebook:
• Don’t add anyone you don’t know.
• Don’t be a hater, don’t accept hatters.
• No bullying!
• Tag, Tag, Tag!
• Tell us what you’re doing!
• Nice picture, great picture! Like the picture.
• No chain sharing things, it’s irritating!

Twitter:
• Follow your interests, blog your heart out.
• Don’t unfollow, there is no point.
• Hashtag, but don’t over do it.

• Share your things, music, photos, and celebs.
• Chat to everyone! Twitter has such nice people.
• Give people shout outs and follow them, don’t hog the attention!

Instagram:
• Post everything! Literally everything!
• Hashtag the hell out of your photo, this is Instagram, not Twitter.
• Like other things if you like them, show people appreciation!

• Follow, and stay a loyal follower.
• Use the effects! They are awesome!
• Don’t bias your pictures. Share your life through pictures and hashtags.
• Don’t be cruel to others, because then people will be cruel to you.

Don’t catch the Social Media flu, don’t let it rule you. It’s not a weapon or your life.

Use it, but use it right. Live life and enjoy yourself. Don’t hate, appreciate!

And when people and life put you down, don’t rant about it (unless it’s Twitter, there’s a chance it will just get lost in there), think about it, think about what makes you happy, think about those who do care about you.

5 Quick Tips To Rapidly Grow Your Twitter Followers

Are you just new to Twitter and simply looking for an easier way to get Followers?

Well, if you are one of the three then help is on the way.

Using my personal experience along with a few of my followers experience I have established 6 ways to grow your Twitter without necessarily being #TeamFollowBack.
1. Advertise on other Social Media Outlets:
One of the quickest and most simple ways to build up your followers is to let your friends on other Social Sites know.

My first followers came from me logging into my Facebook account and posting a status letting all my friends know I had created a Twitter Account.

On Sites such as Blogger and YouTube, most people have a fan base who love their blogs or videos so much that they want a peek into their lives just a little more.

If you have a Blogger or YouTube account let your fans know you have a Twitter page and that it is for them to get to know you on a more personal level.
2. Mix Business with Twitter:
If you have your own business including your Twitter on your website or business card is a great tool for more followers.

If you are selling products or offering services this is very beneficial because you can do special giveaways or discounts through your Twitter which increases not only your followers but also your clientele.

Twitter is also useful for up-and-coming actors and models because not only can your include your Twitter on your comp card but you can also interact with new directors and photographers on Twitter.

If your business grows from this you can even create a Twitter page dedicated to your business!
3. Keep up with Trending Topics:
One very creative thing about Twitter is that it lets you know what topics are trending worldwide, in a country, in a state, or in a city every single day.

By dedicating a few tweets to a couple of current trending topics you can obtain a few followers.

Whether you are tweeting your opinion on a world crisis, something in pop culture, or your favorite boy band there is likely going to be someone in the world who shares the same opinion.
4. Stay Active and Consistent:
One of the biggest keys to growing and maintaining your followers would be to stay active and consistent.

When people no longer see you tweeting they no longer see a point in following you because you no longer add value to their Twitter account anymore.

These people may have followed you because your tweets are always hilarious BUT since you hardly tweet they’ll just look for another person to keep them laughing.

When it comes to staying consistent this means you have to tweet as often as you can.

If you tweet in February then leave and come back in December to tweet people will be uneasy about following you because of the huge span in your timeline.

You don’t have to tweet everyday but creating a schedule that is easy to follow would benefit a lot.

You can also create your scheduling around the time most of your followers are also active on Twitter.
5. Make your Twitter a Happy Place:
Most people in the Twitter Universe or any social site create their accounts as a way to escape their personal problems which is why it isn’t a good idea to use your account as a depression dungeon.

What I mean by this is you don’t want to be the person who is always tweeting about how hard your life is and everything horrible you go through.

This personally puts me in a sad or bad mood because it ruins my day and makes me not want to follow or keep them as a “friend”.

This doesn’t mean you can’t vent to your followers but try not to make all your tweets dedicated to negative energy because it can interfere with your followers.

They do not sell followers and it is Absolutely safe and free to use. They never auto-tweet or ask for your password. Importantly, They follow Twitter rules, Read here.

You also Spread your messages all over Twitter using free Twitter retweets and favorites. Retweets and favorites are a great way to get your message out to millions of users on Twitter.

In closing, I would like to say that though this article is meant to help you without having to be #TeamFollowBack I have no problem with people doing it.

I do think following at least a couple of people is the only way you can get the full joys out of Twitter.

This article however, is just an option for people who are interested in growing their Twitter and actually obtaining followers and following people they have things in common with.
