What You Can Do To Save Mother Nature

Global warming is the increase in temperature of the earth's surface. Because of the greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and methane, the earth is unable to release the heat on the earth's atmosphere.

The heat would accumulate on the earth's atmosphere and eventually have an effect on men and life on earth.

The earth is already calling for our attention. If you haven't noticed the different environmental disasters and problems that we are having, then you are either blind or trying to be blind of the things happening around you.

These disasters and problems that we are experiencing are all because of our own doing.

We've been exploiting the earth for the longest time without thinking about the consequences of our actions. We are now seeing the ugly effects of our actions.

There is still time to help change the condition of the earth. With enough awareness and actions, we'll be able to help preserve earth's beauty.

Here are some tips you can follow to help save Mother Nature from global warming.

Be Aware.

Knowing how you contribute to global warming and pollution is the first step to being an environmental advocate. You may not know that the little things you do add up to the factors that worsen the condition of the earth. Here is a list of things that contribute to global warming and worsens the greenhouse effect:

•    The use of electricity like watching television, using your computer, drying your hair with a hair blower, microwaving a meal and using your washing machine to clean your clothes.

All these activities have its environmental consequences but it doesn't mean that you have to denounce electricity all together. At this time and age, we all know that is not possible.

What you can do is to use electricity responsively. Turn off your appliance when it's not in use. Only use these things if you really have to. Why use your dishwasher when you can easily wash the dishes on the sink?

•    Fuel also contributes to the greenhouse effect. If you're not going too far, why don't you try taking the public transport once in a while? You can also use a bike to get you to nearby areas. Biking is not only environmentally friendly but it's also healthy for you.

•    Aerosol sprays are not good for the atmosphere. Avoid using hair sprays and spray paints. Aerosol depletes the ozone layer.

•    Burning trash. It is never wise to burn your trash. The smoke you inhale from that burning pile is not good for your health. You also contribute to air pollution when you burn your trash.

Take Action

Being environmentally involved doesn't stop in knowing how your activities affect the environment. Act on the things that you know. Be an example to other people. Spread the word and tell others to also do the same.

The earth has cared for us since time immemorial. It is now time that we pay back the goodness the earth has been giving us. We only have this planet to live on, let's not stand by and watch as it slowly waste away because of our selfish acts.
